Kutitap surges at endgame to edge John-O

Kutitap Toothpaste outsteadied John-O Juzz in the stretch to pull off an 84-77 victory and gain a share of the lead with ICTSI La Salle in the PBL Chairman’s Cup at Pasig Sports Complex yesterday.

Cyrus Baguio dished out another explosive performance with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists but the Teeth Sparklers still needed to unleash a strong finishing kick to nail a fourth win in five outings that tied them with the Archers at the helm.

Kutitap nearly squandered a 70-61 lead at the end of the third quarter but scored eight of the game’s last 10 points to deal John-O Juzz its second loss against four wins.
