Tennis camp slated at Shangri-La

Former Davis Cupper and Southeast Asian Games medalist Joseph Lizardo will handle the EDSA Shangri-La Manila Tennis Camp for children from 8 to 18 years old.

Interested parties may contact the Health Club at 633-8888 loc. 2901 and 2902.

Classes will start May 8 with 12 sessions per batch and fees ranging from P3,500 to P4,500 per person. Participants will get a souvenir shirt, a chance to win Head premium items and a certificate for completion of the program.

The camp is co-organized by Global Sports and sponsored by Cherifer Multivitamins, Milo and Head.

Lizardo heads the Ateneo de Manila tennis program and coaches its men’s and women’s varsity teams. He was also the ITF 14-under Asian Team coach that participated in France and Germany. He handled the national training program from 2000-2001 and was 2001 RP Davis Cup coach and captain. He has undergone training from the US NCAA and Temple University from 1986-1991 and has joined the Wimbledon and US Open Juniors.
