Fernandez, Tuazon stay firm at helm

-
The rest of the field failed to keep in step as Danny Tuazon and Larry Fernandez remain firm on top of the Boysen-PSB tenpin bowling championships at the Green Valley Country Club in Pasig.

Tuazon’s 932 pinfalls continue to pace the single men’s seniors event with Fernandez, representing TBAM/PRIMA in close second with 925.

Likewise, Tuazon’s fellow PBA player, Roger Laraya, held on to third place (877) in the event organized by the Philippine Senior Bowlers and supported by Boysen, Philippine Sports Commission, Marvin’s Bar, 3D, Stronghold Steel Corp., and Union Galvasteel Corp.

In the men’s seniors all-events, Fernandez and Tuazon also kept their 1-2 slates but PSB president Nandy Valencia rolled 2081 to dislodge Art Oberio of TOBA/Phenomina at third place.

Earlier, leader Edna Beltran was not as fortunate as Susan Batac of PBA displaced her on top of the women’s seniors all-events.

Batac’s 1907 pinfalls surpassed the 1894 of TBAM’s Beltran, who dropped to second place, while Jojo Javellana also of TBAM, jumped to third placed with a score of 1863.
