All set for PSA Annual Awards Night

The Philippine Sportswriters Association is set to present the countrys most prestigious awards in sports to sports heroes, personalities and supporters in 2001 during its traditional PSA Annual Awards Friday at the Coral Ballroom of the Holiday Inn Manila.
World billiards champion Efren "Bata" Reyes and Fil-American golfer Dorothy Joy Delasin head a stellar cast of Philippine and international champions who will receive the awards from the sportswriting fraternity in formal rites to be attended by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, officials of the Philippine Olympic Committee and Philippine Sports Commission and presidents of the national sports associations.
Photokina Marketing is sponsoring the Awards Night with support from the PSC, Philippine Airlines and AMF Puyat. Sportsman Hermie Esguerra is also supporting the affair.
PSA president Lito A. Tacujan said awardees may coordinate with their NSAs or the Philippine Olympic Committee on their invitation cards which have been released Sunday.
NSA presidents awardees who have not received their invitations from their organization may inquire from the POC.
Viva-Vintage is producing the show which has noted broadcasters Noli Eala and Chiqui Roa as co-hosts.
Dinner will be served at 730 p.m. with the awards rites to follow immediately.
