NCRAA president Josefina Espino said the board found that NCBAs Robert Solon violated the leagues one-year residency requirement upon evaluation of documents. With the leagues decision, NCBA forfeited all of its games in the seniors basketball tournament.
Solon played for the University of the Philippines from 1996 to 1999 in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines and enrolled only this years second semester at NCBA. Solons team beat EAC, 64-62, over the weekend and earned the berth via the winner-over-the-other rule until all its wins were reversed by the league.
