Dy-liacco captures overall plum; awards rites today

Edgen Dy-liacco took the top spot in last Saturdays rallycross to clinch the overall spot in this years rallycross series.
Dy-liacco, who is also the over-all champion in this years rallye series, posted a time of 3:02.28 in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5 to secure his win in the seven-race series.
First runner-up is Edgens brother Rikki Dy-liacco while second runner-up is Carlos Garcia.
In the production category, nine-time national rally champion Vip Isada took the top spot, followed by Art Guevara, while Vips son, Ivan Isada, took the second runner-up position.
The last rallycross was a grueling four-kilometer all-tarmac track laid out by organizer Activity Asia Association at the Saddle and Clubs Leisure Club in Trece Martires, Cavite.
Annual awarding ceremony for 2001 Rallycross Series will be held at 3 p.m. today. It is sponsored by Starsvenue, Makati owned and operated by Ms. Jenny Ambata of AMA Motorworks.
