ICTSI La Salle out to wrest PBL lead
December 13, 2001 | 12:00am
ICTSI-La Salle tries to regain the lead as it clashes with cellar dweller Montana even as Ateneo Pioneer hopes to keep its amazing run as it collides with Blu Detergents in the PBL Challenge Cup at the Makati Coliseum today.
The ICTSI-Archers are half-a-game behind idle Shark (6-3) with a 5-2 (win-loss) card but are eyeing a repeat of their 85-67 rout of the Jewellers in a bid to wrest the lead from the Power Boosters.
But the Archers are coming off a nine-day rest, a long break which coach Derick Pumaren said might take its toll on his players.
Gametime is at 3:30 p.m.
"Hopefully, the long break wont have any effect on the team. I hope the boys will continue to play with the same intensity ," said Pumaren, who will rely anew on Mike Cortez, Ronald Cuan, Bernson Franco, Adonis Sta. Maria and Dominic Uy. Joey Villar<
