Palabrica new GAB commissioner

Emmanuel Palabrica recently took his oath as commissioner of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) before President Arroyo in Malacañang.

The oathtaking was witnessed by the inductee’s wife, Atty. Marujita Palabrica, their only child, 11-year-old Jose Enrico and sister Dr. Marilou Castello.

Palabrica brings with him almost 30 years of private law practice and his involvement in civic and non-governmental organizations plus his experience in various businesses.

An active Rotarian since 1983, Palabrica was charter president, Rotary Club of Parañaque (Sucat); deputy district governor, Rotary District 3810; area director and district governor’s group and special representative; and is at present deputy district governor, Rotary District 3830.

Among the different positions he has held previously in the private sector were head and assistant vice-president, Pennell Commercial Corporation; assistant vice-president and later general manager, Saudi International Transport and Contracting Co. (SITRACO); chief legal counsel and later general manager, DELBROS, Inc.; and president/general manager, Manila Cargo Express Int’l.
