Star-studded field sees action in Tuason karting

-
Top motorsports figures, superstars and newcomers alike, converge anew in the biggest gathering as tribute to a Filipino racing legend — the second Arthur Tuason Memorial Karting Cup set Dec. 1-2 at the Carmona Circuit Philippines.

Organized by the Tuason Racing Project Karting Team, headed by JP and Jeanette Tuason, proceeds of the event will be given to leukemia-stricken beneficiaries of LIFE (Leukemic Indigent Fund Endowment).

Tuason, who died of leukemia, was a prominent racing figure since the 70’s here and abroad. He brought local motorsports to new heights when he copped the 1972 Rally Driver of the Year aboard his famous Ford RS2000 and had since been behind the wheel of almost all forms of racing from karts to rally cars, stock and formula cars.

In the businessworld, he reinvented car painting and restoration with Sikkens Wetlook Car Paint Finish from which he got the name "Mr. Wetlook."
