Bata outclasses foe in Poland elims

Despite a long and tiring flight from Tokyo, Efren "Bata" Reyes played the final match on the opening day of the prestigious World Pool League in Warsaw, Poland with confidence to whip hometown hero Radoslaw Babica, 7-3, and move on to his next assignment against last year’s champion Steve Knight of Britain on the second day of the four-day meet featuring eight of the top players of the world.

The University of Warsaw Arena was jam-packed with Babica supporters but Reyes was also cheered on by a contingent of Filipinos.
