The virus that brought down students from within the Mandaluyong, San Juan and Pasig area apparently struck not only some members of the La Salle team but also Red Bull coach Yeng Guiao and his family.
Guiao skipped their practice Tuesday and called the shots in their game against Purefoods Wednesday in jacket and wearing a medical mask so as not to spread the virus. He didnt call a team practice yesterday.
"Hes okay now pero masakit pa rin ang throat niya at wala pang boses," said Yengs wife Jenny, who herself is also hit by the flu.
Jenny said it was their 13-year-old son Jose Miguel who was first inflicted with the same ailment. The boy is a grade seven student at La Salle Greenhills. Nelson Beltran
