Ana, Welcoat clash for No. 2

Ana Freezers and Welcoat clash today for the No. 2 spot and twice-to-beat advantage at the close of the quarterfinal round of the PBL Chairman’s Cup at the Makati Coliseum.

The Freezer Makers and the Paintmasters have identical 7-3 (win-loss) slates with the former coming off an 87-73 rout of Giv Beauty Soap Tuesday, hoping to sustain their form in their bid to get the big edge heading into the semis stage next week.

But Welcoat is out to repeat its 75-66 win over Ana Freezers with their 5:30 p.m. encounter a preview of their semis showdown.

Shark clinched the first semis slot with the league-best 9-2 mark and will face the No. 4 squad, still being disputed by Giv Beauty Soap, Phamaquick and Hapee.
