10 nations vie in SEA bodybuilding

Ten countries are competing in the fifth Southeast Asian Bodybuilding Championships set May 31-June 3 in Cebu.

Competing in the tournament, hosted by the Philippine Federation of Bodybuilders in cooperation with the Asian Bodybuilding Federation, are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Competition will be held in eight categories – flyweight, bantamweight, lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight.

Weigh-in and pre-judging will be on June 2 at 9 a.m. while the finals will be held on June 3 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Cebu Plaza Hotel, PFBB secretariat.

The Philippine team is composed of Jess Duga of Mandaue, Angelito Llora of Makati, and Jojo Trasona of Bohol. Team coach is Dodong Celerio.

The PFBB is a bona fide member of the International Federation of Bodybuilders.

a member of the International World Games Association and affiliated with the Association of the IOC Recognized International Sports Federations, General Association of International Sports Federations, International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education and International Pierre de Coubertin Committee.

The PFBB officials are Stan Carbungco (chairman), former Guiguinto, Bulacan Mayor Boy Estrella (president), Engracio Tiu (vice president), Luciano Lim (secretary general), May Lim (treasurer) and Jojo Pono (director and auditor).
