Manila re-elected WNC head

Ma. Vivian Manila of St. Scholastica’s College-Manila was elected president of the Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association for the third straight year recently. Manila is the dean of student affairs of SSC.

Elected vice-president was Josefina Espino, P.E. directress of Lyceum of the Philippines.

The other newly-elected officers for WNCAA’s 2001 season were Angela dela Cruz of St. Benedict, secretary; Lim Eng Peng of St. Stephens, treasurer; Dennis Sajo of Miriam College, auditor; Jacob Uichico of Assumption College and Yolanda Co of Chiang Kai Shek, directors.

In line with its objective to make the league truly national in scope, the WNCAA also elected its first-ever set of officers for WNCAA-Central Luzon. Elected were Rev. Msgr. Edgardo Pangan, JCD of University of the Assumption (Pampanga) as honorary chairperson; Donny Sayre, also of UA, as regional coordinator; Graciano "Jun" David of Holy Angel University, asst. regional director; Raul Villaluz of Sta. Cruz Academy (Lubao, Pampanga), secretary and Raquel Mendoza of Bulacan State University, treasurer.
