Red Bull Fil-Am player Davonn Harp was held by police after his Ford Expedition bumped and injured a woman in Greenhills, San Juan yesterday.
Senior inspector Felipe Fernando, head of the Greenhills precinct, said the victim, Marcelina Tolentino, 24, of No. 2139, Anonas St., Sta. Mesa, Manila, suffered contusions and fractured ribs and was rushed to the Cardinal Santos Memorial Medical Center.
Tolentino was reportedly crossing McKinley street in Greenhills when the black Ford Expedition driven by Harp bumped her.
Witnesses said Harp could have been confused because the victim was wearing yellow dress, similar to the color of the car he was following.
Harp was supposed to buy household supplies at the Unimart when the incident happened.
"He did not try to escape. He is now under custodial investigation and I think his manager is now settling the case," Fernando added. Sheila Crisostomo
