Arroyo to fire off Pasig run

First Gentleman Mike Arroyo fires off tomorrow the first ever Pasig River Heritage Marathon that has a unique two-start set-up. The first stage is along A. Soriano St. (formerly Aduana) for the 42K at 5 a.m. and the second follows at 6 a.m. for the 5K at the Fort in Taguig, Metro-Manila.
Arroyo leads top-ranked officials invited at the fire-off and awarding ceremonies for the top 10 finishers of the DILG and DECS-endorsed 42K main event and the 5K fun run supported by Fort Bonifacio Development Corp., Department of Public Works and Highways, Metro-Manila Development Authority, Philippine Army, PCSO, SMAP, REACT, Kabalikat, Unilever, Jollibee, San Miguel Corp., New Balance, Integrated Waste Management, Inc. and Republic Asahi Glass Corp.
DILG Secretary Joey Lina, meantime, fires the starting gun in the 42.195K race in front of Manila Cathedral at 5 a.m. The route will take the runners through the main roads and over 11 bridges.
