Pacquiao, Korean ready to rumble

-
Protagonists Manny Pacquiao and Tetsutora Senrima flexed their muscles during the public press preview yesterday for their 12-round encounter tomorrow at the Ynares Gym in Antipolo.

Pacquiao, 22, will be making his fourth defense of the WBC International superbantamweight crown, and had promised to end the bout as early as possible.

"Unahan lang ito. Kung handa siya, mas handa ako,"
declared Pacquiao.

Rod Nazario, business manager of the Gen. Santos City champion, is confident that it would be another easy task for his boy.

"He (Senrima) looks just like the other fighters whom Pacquiao had beaten," he claimed.

Senrima, 31, sports a record of 19-4-3 (10 KO), showed speed and power during his two-round sparring with Gerry Seismundo.

"I’m ready to rumble. On fight night, you’ll see more of my talents and power," said Senrima.

The San Miguel Beer-backed "Rumble in Antipolo" is being promoted by Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde Jr., and supported by Rizal Gov. Casimiro Ynares Jr. and Royal Palm Hotel.

Also took part in the preview were Zarlit Rodrigo and Randy Mangubat, who will defend their WBC International minimumweight and flyweight crowns.

Rodrigo takes on Ernesto Rubilar, while Mangubat faces Bert Cano.

Meanwhile, Gov. Ynares announced that the general admission is free to the public. The coliseum will open at 3 p.m. and first fight starts at 4 p.m.
