Davao hosts two Coke football finals

DAVAO City — This city hosts separately two Coke Go-for-Goal under 16 football tournament sub-regional finals — all-Davao and all-Cotabato — starting on Nov. 18.

Five champion teams will see action in the all-Cotabato finals on Nov. 18-20, while three titlists will vie for honors in the all-Davao tilt on Nov. 22-24.

The Cotabato finalists are San Lorenzo Ruiz Academy-Polomolok (South Cotabato), M’Lang National High (North Cotabato), Notre Dame Village (Cotabato City), Ireneo Santiago High (Cotabato City) and Notre Dame of Tacurong (Sultan Kudarat).

The Davao finalists are University of Mindanao (Davao City), Lupon School of Fisheries (Davao Oriental) and Jose Tuason High (Davao Norte-Compostela Valley).

Three other sub-regional finals are slated in the Mindanao competition of the 17th Coke Go-for-Goal season sponsored by Coca-Cola with Adidas as official ball.

These are all-West Mindanao featuring the Dipolog City (Andres Bonifacio College), Pagadian City and Zamboanga City champions on Dec. 2-3, the all-North Mindanao (Butuan City and Bukidnon champions) on Nov. 29-30 and the all-Central/Eastern Mindanao (Iligan City and Ozamiz City champions) on Nov. 27.

The all-Mindanao finals will be held Jan. 15-19 in Cagayan de Oro City.
