PBA games, PBL opener called off

-
The scheduled PBA Governors Cup twinbill at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo yesterday was postponed by league officials due to Typhoon Seniang.

Tanduay Rhum was to clash with Purefoods while San Miguel Beer was to take on Sta. Lucia Realty.

PBA Media Bureau chief Musong Castillo said the games will be rescheduled for a later date with action in the season-ending tournament resuming with another double-header at the Araneta Coliseum tomorrow.

Also due to the typhoon, the opening of the 2000 PBL Challenge Cup originally set today at the Makati Coliseum was reset to Tuesday in the same venue.

The same games will be played with defending champion Welcoat Paints starting its bid for a fourth consecutive crown against Montana Pawnshop and Shark Energy clashing with Ateneo-Pioneer. Joey Villar
