RP clouters off for Selangor

A 21-man Philippine delegation flies to Kuala Lumpur today to carry the countrys colors in the Selangor invitational baseball championship set beginning today up to Nov. 6 in the Malaysian State of Selangor.
Headed by Philippine Amateur Baseball Association president Hector Navasero, the national contingent also includes PABA commissioner Ely Baradas, head coach Rodrigo Valencia and finance officer Jeanette Austria.
The team is composed of the candidates to the national squad preparing for the coming 21st Baseball Federation of Asia championship the country is hosting March next year. They are Ricardo Jimenez, Fernando Badrina, Virgilio Roxas, Roel Empacis, Wilfredo Hidalgo Jr., Lorenzo Icban, Christopher Jimenez, Junnifer Pinero, Ferdinand Recto, Andro Cuyugan, Ramil Placides, Francisco Ramos, Ernesto Binararao, Alejandro Velasquez, Roy Baclay, Manolito Binarao and Joel Binarao.
Also invited in the week-long tournament are the national teams of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Myanmar. A sixth entry is a team from Selangor.
