Yulo new golf federation head

Jose Luis Gerardo "Luigi" Yulo, executive director of the Canlubang Golf and Country Club, is the new president of the Federation of Golf Clubs (Phils.) Inc.

Yulo took over the presidency from PSC commissioner Richie Garcia, who resigned recently for conflict of work and schedule.

Garcia leaves behind the highly acclaimed Senior Reciprocity Program where "Senior Care Cardholders" are extended the courtesy to play in any of the private member golf clubs of the Federation with 50 percent discount on green fees on designated days of the week.

The federation has now 29 private golf clubs as members.

The other officers of the Federation are Ogie Manalo, chairman; Crismel Verano, vice chairman; Joe Abejo, vice-president for finance and chairman of the Senior Care Program; Tom Clemente, VP for development; Jeric Hechanova, VP for technical services; Manuel Flores, treasurer; Romy Laig, corporate secretary; Jose Modesto Ledesma III, director; Benjie Sumulong, director; Ben Unchuan, director; Joe Crespo, secretary general; Manuel Chan Jr., legal consultant; and Ed Gaddi, public relations consultant.
