Makati teams show wares

It will be Makati's plush villages' turn to showcase their shotmaking skills as the Infocom Intervillage golf championship stages its Makati-Mandaluyong series today at the challenging Sherwood Hills golf course in Cavite.

Bel-Air, skippered by Rod Feliciano, leads the crack eight-team field vying for the top three slots in the first round of the 36-hole tournament exclusively for villages in the Makati-Mandaluyong area.

Also in the fold are Dasmariñas, to be led by team captain Jose Cedo, Sr., Ecology, skippered by Pepon Marave; Forbes, headed by Cora Suntay while Noel Legaspi is tasked to lead the bid of the Magallanes golfers in the event sponsored by Infocom Technologies and PLDT.

Urdaneta will be bannered by Charlie Carmona and Dennis Valdes, Palladium will be led by Margaret Tan while Michael Tan will skipper the Wack Wack contingent in the tournament where each team is allowed to field 12 players with the top eight scorers counting for the squad.

The top three finishers after 36 holes in each of the four Infocom Intervillage series will advance to the grand finals of this annual event supported by Home Cable, Smart Communications, Alaxan, ICTSI, BJ Marthel International, Menzi and Co., STI College, Callaway-Odyssey and McCallan Whisky.
