Erap Cup golfest unfolds tomorrow
President Joseph Estrada will hit the ceremonial ball to kick off the second Erap Cup golf tournament tomorrow at the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.
Over 60 dignitaries and VIPs from the political, business and diplomatic communities are expected to play in the prestigious tournament presented by San Miguel Corp.
Two BMWs and two Jaguars will be staked for hole-in-one feats.
This year's edition of the highly-successful golf tournament also has the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club, the International Container Terminal Services Inc. and ABS-CBN News Channel 21 as co-presentors.
The tournament is supported by Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. and Wealth Securities.
The Erap Cup golf tournament is held annually to raise funds for the ERAP Foundation, a non-profit, non-stock organization devoted to giving out scholarships to marginalized Filipino youth.
The foundation counts respected members of the business community and the academe as members of its board of trustees. It provides a scholarship program for the poor and underprivileged but deserving Filipino students all over the country.
It also provides assistance and self-help programs in cooperation with private, government and other institutions.
