Big prizes up in Sta. Elena Cup

A Ford Lynx Ghia and P1 million pension plan top an attractive package of hole-in-one prizes up for grabs in the fourth staging of the Sta. Elena Cup, the annual member-guest invitational of the Sta. Elena Golf Club on March 30-31 and April 1-2.

Aside from the Ford Lynx Ghia from Ford Edsa and the pension plan from the Prudential Life Group of Companies, also at stake on designated holes are golf carts from Yamaha and Club Car and a trip for two to Singapore.

Competing in the tourney are teams made up of members and their guests.

ICTSI is the major sponsor of the Sta. Elena Cup with Rustan's Group of Companies, Aboitiz One, Bobson's Jeans, Compaq Computers and Prudential Life as minor sponsors.

Hole sponsors are Flying V Petroleum, JOMON Carpets, Blue Cross Insurance, Paramount Vinyl Products, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum, Ford Edsa, Volvo Cars, Raymundo's Wine & Golf, Lifeline Arrows, Philippine Resins, Inc., Pan Pacific Travel, Orocan, Professional Group, GG&A Club Shares, Design Packaging, Inc., Green Cross, Mayer Steel Pipes, The Turf Company, Walter Wolf Designer Wheels, Wise Securities, Durex Cables and Swatch Shoes.

The awards night entertainment provided by Smart Commu-nications will be on April 2 while Dryer's Ice Cream and Outback Steak House are food sponsors.

Last year's Sta. Elena Cup was won by Edgar Sy and Richard Go.

They are expected to be back to lead an exciting roster of business bigwigs, government officials, celebrities and sports figures who will play two rounds in a span of four days.

The team with the best 36-hole aggregate score will be declared.
