Goma Cup tourney goes to Baguio

-

The 10th Smart Gold-Goma Cup, a long-running golf tournament initiated by popular actor-director-sportsman and Presidential Adviser on Youth and Sports Development Sec. Richard Gomez, will be held on April 5-7 in Baguio City. The event will gather top celebrities, corporate bigwigs, and professional and junior golfers.

The first day of the event will be highlighted by a series of games -- the Smart Gold Pot of Gold, Ericsson Skills Challenge, and Taylor Made Skins Game -- to be held at the Baguio Country Club, the official residence of the 10th Smart Gold-Goma Cup.

The golf tournament proper will be held the following day at Camp John Hay's newly developed golf course. The game will involve two rounds of golf. Scores for both days will be averaged to get the tournament score.

A brand new Toyota Camry awaits the lucky golfer to make a hole-in-one. Professional golfers get a crack at the P500,000 purse money while the top junior golfers get to take home pre-need packages from Platinum Plans.

All winners will be honored on April 7 during the awards night at the newly constructed Club House of Camp John Hay. Goma will also be celebrating his birthday on the same day.
