Sta. Lucia victim No. 6?

-

Eric Menk is sizzling hot and so are Sonny Alvarado, Rudy Hatfield, Jeffrey Cariaso and practically all the Rhum Masters. So, who's going to stop Tanduay?

Sta. Lucia played extremely cold the last time out, so it's seemingly easy and safe to say no one would dare bet it would be the Realtors.

The Rhum Masters take on the scrambling Realtors as they seek to stretch to six games their impressive opening run in the Alaxan PBA All-Filipino Cup at the Philsports Arena today.

Mobiline, which walloped Sta. Lucia, 94-62, the last time out, seeks its second straight against the Red Bull Energizers with Bong Ravena in the fold.

"Of course, we're happy where we are at the moment. But we're trying not to think that we're leading the pack. We want to go on and on and on until we reach our goal (good placing in the playoffs)," said Tanduay coach Alfrancis Chua.

"Mukhang ayaw pumunta sa amin ng swerte dahil pagkatapos ng 32 points na talo namin sa Mobiline, Tanduay naman ang babanggain namin," said Sta. Lucia assistant coach Adonis Tierra.

Sta. Lucia head coach Norman Black locked his staff in their dugout for nearly two hours after their blowout to Mobiline Friday. Probably, they discussed what went wrong in their game versus the Phone Pals, then drew their battleplan against the Rhum Masters.

Tanduay is the hottest team of the moment that it sets out for tonight's 7:30 p.m. mainer already looking for its longest streak since rejoining the league last year.

Sta. Lucia may have enough ceiling with Marlou Aquino and Dennis Espino in its lineup, but the question is whether the Realtors can match up Rhum Masters' speed and hustle.

Menk and Alvarado are both averaging in double figures in points and rebounds, and they are likely to spell big trouble for the Realtors.
