Official canvass of poll results in Bohol done

TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — The Bohol provincial board of canvassers on Thursday completed its task of canvassing the votes and proclaiming the winning candidates in the province, without any complaints from the losing bets.

The Bohol PBOC on Wednesday proclaimed Governor Edgar Chatto as the winner in his re-election bid against opponent, Loay town Mayor Rosemarie Imboy.

However, the proclamation of  Provincial Board Member Dionisio Balite as the vice governor-elect, defeating incumbent Vice Governor Concepcion Lim, was delayed until Thursday morning because the canvassing of the returns from Lila and Sierra-Bullones towns was hampered by transmission glitches.

Others who were proclaimed were the winners for PB seats: 1st district---Benjie Arcamo, Abeleon Damalerio, and Ricky Masamayor; 2nd district---Tomas Abapo Jr., Nino Rey Boniel, and Agapito Avenido; 3rd district---Alexie Tutor, Victor Balite, Jade Bautista, and Elpidio Jala.

Getting earlier proclamations were re-electionists: Ist district Representative Rene Relampagos who was the hands-down winner against Joahna Cabalit; 2nd district Rep. Erico Aris Aumentado who routed his opponent Gerry Garcia; and 3rd district Rep. Arthur Yap who convincingly won against Che delos Reyes.

For president, about 83 percent of Bohol voters went for PDP-Laban bet and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, who garnered 310,114 votes against Roxas (200,544), Poe (68,097), Binay (42,245), and Santiago (6,018).

For vice-president, Boholanos gave the win to Representative Leni Robredo who got 272,649 votes, against her rivals: Cayetano (169,085); Marcos (79,514); Escudero (54,139); Trillanes (10,747); and Honasan (9,879).

The Bohol votes also favored the following senatorial bets (in order, from number one down to no. 12) ; Drilon, Villanueva, Hontiveros, Zubiri, Pacquiao, Pangilinan, de Lima, Osmeña, Gordon, Lacson, Recto, and Tolentino. (FREEMAN)
