Marcos kin in Leyte reveals: Duterte to announce prexy bid, with Bongbong as running mate

CEBU, Philippines – A female relative of the Marcoses, who had settled in La Paz town of Leyte, bared that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will announce his presidential bid at Paoay, Ilocos Norte on October 10, Saturday, with Senator Bongbong Marcos as his official running mate.

The source, who have been invited to the proclamation, said she did not really know why it will be held in Paoay, where the Marcoses’s Malacañang of the North is located, but the advisory she got was that the event will be on the 10th of this month and not on Sunday, October 11, as earlier reported.

The Freeman tried to reach former North Cotabato governor Manny Piñol to confirm the news, but his cell phone was out of reach. Piñol has been an avid supporter of Duterte.

Bongbong earlier disclosed he would support Duterte if the latter decides to seek the highest position of the land.
