Five nabbed with P360T shabu

CEBU, Philippines - A suspected top drug personality of Pres. Roxas City in Capiz and his alleged runners were arrested in a buy-bust operation early Thursday morning, and yielded 15 sachets of shabu, weighing 60 grams, with an estimated street value of P360,000.

The arrested suspects were Paul John Culasino, 33, of Bliss Pantalan; Rogelio de la Cruz, 32, of Barangay Marita; Bernaldez brothers Louie Karl, 20, and Kenny Dave, 29, both of Marita village; and Henry Las Piñas, 21, of Poblacion, all in Pres. Roxas.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6, together with the members of the Pres. Roxas City Police Station, conducted the buy bust around 6 a.m. at Barangay Marita.

Inspector Rachel Garnica, Pres. Roxas City Police chief, said Culasino has been considered a number one drug personality in the area because of the volume of illegal drugs he had been distributing. Culasino was reportedly dealing out shabu in the city and the nearby towns of Pontevedra and Pilar. He also employed runners to do job for him.

The five suspects are now detained at the police station lock-up cell and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act). (FREEMAN)
