Widow, 47, bites off half-inch of “rapist’s” tongue

ILOILO CITY, Philippines – An alleged would-be rapist lost his tongue in what he initially thought was a passionate lip-lock episode.

Ruben Dominguez, 52, was accused of attempted rape after he tried to sexually molest a 47-year-old widow, his neighbor at Barangay Monpon in Barotac Nuevo town of Iloilo.

According to the victim, Dominguez barged into her house early morning on Saturday, and allegedly fondled her intimate parts and kissed her.

When Dominguez kissed her, the victim took the opportunity to bite off his tongue. The force she exerted was enough to cut off at least half an inch of Dominguez’ tongue. The portion of his tongue is now preserved in a jar and would form part of the evidence.

The suspect denied that he attempted to rape her, claiming instead that it was the widow who had been showing interest on him since.

Dominguez, who is now detained, said he went inside the complainant’s house, but denied a sexual act took place. But the victim said she was determined to pursue charges against him.

Dominguez and his wife, who was reportedly in Manila, have five children.
