Negros Occ gets P590M for infra projects in WV
BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Negros Occidental got P590 million, the highest allocation of the P1.167 billion budget intended for the infrastructure projects to support the tourism development in Western Visayas.
Other allocations are as follows: Iloilo had P268.82 million for seven development projects; Antique got P110 million for an access road, and Aklan receive P98 million, also for a road project.
DPWH District Engineer Jaime Javellana said the projects to be implemented in Negros Occidental are: access road to Mambucal in Murcia town (P60 million); boundary road to Mt. Mandalagan (P140 million); Silay road to airport (P200 million); and rehabilitation of Bacolod to San Carlos City road (P50 million), among others.
