Romualdez leads tribute to City Hall employees who died during Yolanda

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines – Mayor Alfred Romualdez and wife, Councilor Cristina Romualdez, led city officials and workers in candle lighting and flowers offering at the City Hall grounds in memory of the 18 city government employees who passed away during Yolanda’s fury and storm surge.

The 18 City Hall employees who died were: Greggy Badilla, Raul de Andres and Albert Encina of the City Mayor’s Office; Carolyn de la Cruz (City Treasurer’s Office); Samuel Solayao, Reynaldo Asis and Francisco de la Cruz (City General Services Office); Melinda Raga and Anacita Gabrito (City Agriculturist Office); Grace Dacatimbang (Office of Senior Citizens Office); Leslie Boctot (City Social Welfare and Development Office); Alejandro Labita (City Planning Development Office); Ma. Therese Gonia (City Council); Raul Cadungog (City Architect’s Office); Crisologo Legaspi Jr. (City Security Office); Roxas Doroteo Jr.(City Engineer’s Office); Cathlyn Rose Emnas (City Health Office); and Teresita Tibo (City Division Office).

Romualdez said: “Thank you for your services. Forever you will all be remembered in each and every colleague you came in contact with. May you all rest in peace.” – TISAT
