PDEA destroys P4.4M worth of illegal drugs

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines  — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, led by Director General Arturo Cacdac Jr., incinerated over P4.4 million worth of shabu and marijuana at a crematorium in Acropolis Garden in Barangay Bata, this city, Tuesday.

Cacdac said the total volume of shabu destroyed was 716.676 grams, worth P4,300,056, while the marijuana weighed 3,883.85 grams, worth P135,934.72.

Cacdac said, "destroying of the illegal drugs will ensure that these will not be recycled," adding that the confiscated drugs were used as evidence in various courts in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City.  (FREEMAN)
