P560M KALAHI-CIDSS fund set for 30 towns
TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — More than P560 million fund, in the form of grants under the Kapit-bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services is now ready to be downloaded to 30 municipality-beneficiaries as long as they can comply with the prerequisites, according to the DSWD-7.
The DSWD-7, in close coordination with its branch office and the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office in Bohol conducted an enrolment forum in this city, and briefed the mayors and planning officers about the program.
The biggest slice of the grant will be for Inabanga town at P77.923 million, while the smallest share will be for San Isidro at P10.250 million, based on the criteria set by the DSWD.
The towns were divided into the 377-category, or towns classified as “poor and Yolanda-affected,” and 177-category, or those “non-poor but Yolanda-affected towns. No Bohol town fall under the 293-category, or “poor but non-Yolanda-affected towns.”
Under the 377-category are the towns of Candijay with P58.086-million budget; Mabini (P56.348M); Valencia (P55.172M); Buenavista (P54.062M); Pilar (P53.774M); San Miguel (P47.148M); President Carlos P. Garcia (P46.574M); Catigbian (P45.372M); Alicia (P44.57M); Guindulman (P44.504M); Sagbayan (P36.163M); Clarin (P32.473M); Bilar (P30.77M); Anda (P30.436M); Loboc (P26.099M); Loay (P26.017M); Antequera (P23.169M); Lila (P21.579M); and Sevilla (P20.886M).
The towns under the 177-category are: Ubay with P26-million; Carmen (P22.662M); Tubigon (P17.511M); Loon (P16.692M); Trinidad (P14.99M); Calape (P13.716M); Jagna (P12.7M); and Maribojoc (P10.655M).
DSWD-6 said 17 other towns in Bohol were not included in this year’s list of recipients but they can avail themselves of the same grant next year. —(FREEMAN)
