OFW beheaded, body not found

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — The head of a female OFW from Hinobaan town in Negros Occidental was found by a farmer in Cabiao town of  Nueva Ecija in Luzon, beside a plastic bag containing her passport and other documents.

The police identified the victim as Maribel Alpas, 32, who according to her sister Sheryl, had gone missing since she left Negros Occidental on March 21 and was supposed to fly to London for work.

Sheryl said Maribel, before her scheduled departure, told her that she went to her employer’s house in Nueva Ecija to pick up something that she was supposed to bring to London.

The victim’s sister further said she received a text message from Maribel on March 20, informing her that she was on her way to her employer’s house. Since then, Maribel no longer contact her sister.

After contacting Maribel’s employer, Sheryl learned that her sister did not arrived in London and that only her severed head was found instead, according to the Nueva Ecija Police.  (FREEMAN)
