Fire at lumber yard leaves P2M losses

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A lumber yard was razed by fire at Lopez Jaena, Poinsettia St., Brgy. 31, this city, Thursday evening.
The city's Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said no one was injured in the fire at Bacolod Mabuhay Lumber Yard, owned by Steven Sy, which caused an estimated damage to property of P2 million.
According to the BFP, the fire originated at the southwestern portion of the storage area, however, fire investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the incident. — (FREEMAN)
