For PRO-6 Director Sec. Roxas' aide replaces Cruz
ILOILO CITY , Philippines — The executive assistant of DILG Secretary Mar Roxas has taken over the helm of the Police Regional Office-6.
Effective December 11, Chief Supt. Josephus Angan is the acting director of PRO-6, replacing Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr.
Although the order said Angan was assigned to the Office of the Chief PNP, reports have it that he was on detailed service at Roxas' office. He also served as director of Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO) from June 2008 to July 2010.
Angan, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1984, was picked to replace Cruz, who was relieved from his post after 30 of his police commanders allegedly underreported the crime statistics in their areas of responsibility.
Meanwhile, it was not immediately known where Cruz's next assignment will be. The order just stated that he will be reassigned to the Office of the Chief PNP.
Cruz served as PRO-6 director from August 2011 until December 2013. (FREEMAN)
