12 houses razed in Nov. 1 fire
BACOLOD CITY , Philippines — Twelve houses in Bacolod City were razed by fire in the evening of All Saints' Day or Nov. 1, Bombo Radyo reported.
Ten houses were destroyed while two others were damaged by fire that hit Purok Sigay in Brgy. 2 of this city, according to Insp. Publio Ploteña, deputy fire marshal of the Bureau of Fire and Protection, in a radio interview.
The ancestral house of former Bacolod City Councilor Napoleon Cordova was among those destroyed, said the official, adding that investigation on the origin and cause of fire is still being conducted. (FREEMAN)
