In Samar: Guv's name in voters list mis-labeled

CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines — Samar Governor Sharee Ann Tan apparently, when she was about to vote yesterday afternoon at Brgy. Mercedes in this city, was surprised when she was asked by the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) in her precinct if she made a request transferring her voter's registration to Calbayog City.

The BEIs were referring to a notation found along with a highlighting on the lady governor's name in the voters list that stated: "transfer to Calbayog City."

This confusion was shortlived however because after clarifying that she did not signify any intention to transfer her election records to Calbayog City, the governor was finally able to vote in her precinct.

No one from among the BEIs was able to explain how and why the voter's list containing the name of the governor got the said notation.
