President to visit Tacloban

CEBU, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III will be in Tacloban City tomorrow to lead the commissioning of the water system improvement and rehabilitation works of the Leyte Metropolitan Water District, which was funded with P285 million by the national government.

PNoy's visit to the city was confirmed by Bert Malate, official representative of An Waray party-list Rep. Florencio "Bem" Noel, the Liberal Party's mayoralty bet in the city.

Sources said the visit will also be a political one because the president is expected to endorse Noel's candidacy and the local slate of the LP aside from the Team PNoy senatorial bets.

Also coming over will be PNoy's sister Kris Aquino and Team PNoy senatorial bets Chiz Escudero and Grace Poe.  They will have an interaction with the local media at the residence of the congressman.  (FREEMAN)
