20 groups qualify for MassKara dance tilt

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Twenty out of 29 groups have qualified for the elimination round of the GMA DanssKara: The MassKara Dance Showdown to be held right after the opening ceremonies of the 2012 MassKara Festival on October 1 at the city’s public plaza.

According to Dado Tan, GMA assistant program manager for Regional TV, the qualified groups are AfterClass Crew, Delta Heat, True Friends, KX Jammers Crew, YC Lakas Pinas, New Born Crew, JR. Mix Avenue, New Oldz Crew, XVision Dancers, Exhibit, Bacolod Freestylers, Execution Boys, Real Galians, War Crew, Hinigaran Airstrike, Casap Breaktime, The New Bacolod Gangxians, Pry Groove, 10th Element and Offbeat.

The DanssKara grand finals will be held on Oct. 22, after the closing ceremonies of the festival at 7 p.m. also at the public plaza. — (FREEMAN)
