Richard denies withdrawing bid for Ormoc City mayor

CEBU, Philippines - Actor Richard Gomez, congressional chief of staff of his wife Rep. Lucy Torres Gomez (4th dist., Leyte), yesterday denied a radio report that he is backing out from his plan to run for mayor of Ormoc City.

The report was aired yesterday afternoon over a radio station by a blocktimer who the Gomez camp said they had neither met nor talked to ever since.

“This is not true. Kahit sino babanggain ni Richard for mayor of the city. He will run even against a wall,” said Luis Ocubillo Jr., a congressional staff of Lucy.

Richard’s mayoralty plan is definitely “walang urungan. Tuloy na tuloy na,” Ocubillo added. —Contributed Article (THE FREEMAN)
