Dumaguete fire razes 2 houses

DUMAGUETE CITY ,Philippines  – Fire razed two houses at purok Camias, sitio Canday-ong in Barangay Calindagan of this city at 12:25 a.m. Sunday.

City fire marshal Chief Insp. William Tacaldo said firefights, immediately after getting the alarm, arrived at the scene, with two houses already burning, and quickly controlled the blaze and, 20 minutes after, put it out to stop affecting other houses.

Investigation showed that the fire started in a room, rented by a certain Giselle Linao, of the house of Francisco Llena, and spread into his neighbor Ralf Anthony’s house. 

Tacaldo said Llena got injured in the incident and the estimated damage cost to properties was about P100,000.

The affected families are temporarily staying at the Calindagan barangay hall, he said.
