Iloilo Provincial Police revamp

- Jennifer P. Rendon -

ILOILO CITY, Philippines - After the reshuffling of officials of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) followed suit with its own revamp of personnel.

Senior Supt. Gil Lebin, IPPO director, confirmed that seven police stations will be affected by the reshuffling of personnel, but denied it had something to do with alleged misdemeanor of the officials involved.

Instead, the revamp would be an offshoot of six policemen who will undergo schooling, said Lebin.

In Barotac Nuevo, outgoing chief of police, Senior Insp. Ronnie Brillo, will be replaced by Sr. Insp. Gervison Muyo, while Sr. Insp. Rogen Morales will take over the Dingle Police Station from Sr. Insp. Ronnie Serrano.

Lebin is yet to announce who will replace Morales as chief of the Anilao Police, and on who will head the Oton Police, which is now under Sr. Insp. Raymond Seloso, and the Ajuy Police now headed by Insp. Chester Noel Borlongan.

Senior Insp. Arnel Solis will also leave the Zarraga Police Station, and will be replaced by Sr. Insp. Vicente Vicente, while Sr. Insp. Dante Dumaguing, chief of the Pavia Police, will be replaced by Sr. Insp. Efren Niembra.

Except for Morales, the six chiefs of police - Brillo, Dumaguing ,Solis, Celoso, Servano, and Borlongan - will undergo schooling for career advancement.

Earlier, the IPPO leadership ordered for the relief of Supt. John Mitchell Jamili as commander of the Iloilo Provincial Public Safety Company.

Jamili, who is now assigned to the Regional Headquarters Support Group at Camp Delgado in this city, was replaced by Supt. Roderick Condag.

Reports said that Jamili's relief was relative to his planned new assigned at a PNP national support unit.
