DA-8 has new regional director

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines -  - Antonio Gerundio has been appointed new regional executive director of the Department of Agriculture-Region 8, replacing Leo Cañeda.

Gerundio was the former director of DA-Region 4-B while Cañeda will be assigned to head DA-Region 7 (Central Visayas).

A turnover ceremony was held last April 1 at the Convention Center of the Leyte Park Hotel, this city where Cañeda handed over to Gerundio the symbolic key of the DA regional field office.

Gerundio is from Brgy. Nangka, Consolacion, Cebu who obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness course at the Visayas State College of Agriculture (now Visayas State University) at the now city of Baybay in Leyte.

He finished his Masters in Agribusiness Management Course at the University of the Philippines at Los Banos (UPLB), Laguna in April 1983. — (FREEMAN)
