"Lesbian" jumps off overpass after breakup with lady love

ILOILO CITY, Philippines  — A 21-year-old "lesbian," following a breakup with her girlfriend, tried to commit suicide by jumping off an overpass at the corner of Delgado and Valeria Streets at Jaro district in this city, a day after Valentine's Day.

Reports said that the "lesbian" had a drinking spree with her girlfriend, as their supposed Valentine celebration, but this happy togetherness turned sour when her girlfriend told her she decided to end their relationship.

The "lesbian" acted unruly in an attempt to keep her lady love, but she failed. By 4 a.m. the next day, the "lesbian" went up the overpass bridge and jumped off it, apparently to kill herself.

She however survived, after she was rushed to the Iloilo St. Paul's Hospital where she was treated for dislocated bones on the side and back of her body. She was later transferred to the Western Visayas Medical Center where she remained in confinement until now. (FREEMAN)
