Punto Mo

Idiyoma sa Buwan ng Wika

WANNA BET - Bettinna P. Carlos - Pang-masa

– Yes man [sunud-sunuran]: “Sagutin mo lamang ako, kahit maging yes-man mo pa ako!”

– Written all over your face [kitang-kita sa mukha, halata, obvious]: “Alam ko namang gusto mo ako eh. You don’t need to hide or deny. It’s written all over your face.”

– Through thick or thin [sa hirap man o ginhawa]: “I promise to be beside you forever. Whether through thick or thin.”

- Spitting image [kamukhang kamukha]: You are so beautiful today. You are a spitting image of Marian River/Dingdong Dantes.”

- Safe and sound [maayos at ligtas]: “Sagutin mo lang ako, I promise to bring you home safe and sound, every night.”

- Right as rain [maganda ang takbo ng mga pangyayari]: “Everything is just right as rain because we’re meant to be.”

- Red letter day [special day]: “Every day with you is a red letter day.”

- No holds barred [walang hahadlang]: “I will marry you – no holds barred.”

- Man on the street [ordinaryong tao]: “I may seem like a man on the street, but I can give you happiness too.”

- In my book [sa aking opinion]: “In my book, you look best wearing color red.”

- Come hell or high waters [ano man ang mangyari]: “Come hell or high waters, you’ll forever be the only woman in my heart.”

- As cool as a cucumber [napakamahinahon]: “You know what I like most about you? You’re as cool as a cucumber.”

Sana ay napayaman ko ang inyong bokabularyo!
