Puganteng Kano, nalambat sa Pangasinan
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines — Isang American national na pugante sa kanyang bansa ang naaresto ng Pangasinan Police at joint operatives sa Barangay Malued, Dagupan City kamakalawa.
Kinilala ni Col. Richmond Tadina, Pangasinan Provincial Police director, ang nadakip na si Rexfordgay Sanculi Velasco, 43-anyos, isang US national.
Nabatid na isang “undesirable at overstaying alien” si Velasco sa Pilipinas na isa ring “fugitive” sa Amerika, base sa opisyal na pakikipag-ugnayan ng pulisya mula kay Special agent Michael Kin ng Naval Criminal Investigative Service, US Department of Navy, sa US Embassy sa Manila noong Disyembre 2021.
Lumalabas na may nakabinbing Federal warrant of arrest si Velasco na inisyu ng US Marine Corps Absentee Collection Center noong Mayo 25, 2005 para sa “military desertion”.
Ang renewal ng pasaporte ni Velasco ay na-denied o hindi rin pinagbigyan ng US Department of State.
“These international criminals are not allowed to stay here in the Philippines. Many of them are mostly part of the international syndicates that try to establish in our country. But through our coordination and collaboration with different government agencies, we will make sure that these criminals will be placed behind bars,” pahayag ni Col. Tadina.
