7 lalawigan tukoy na election hotspots

MANILA, Philippines – Pitong lalawigan ang inisyal na natukoy ng PNP bilang election hotspots kaugnay ng gaganaping May 2016 national elections. Ito ang inihayag kahapon ni PNP Chief P/Director General Ricardo Marquez sa patuloy na assessment ng mga intelligence operatives ng PNP sa mga lugar na tututukan sa halalan. Gayon pa man, sinabi ni Marquez na sa mga susunod na araw na ihahayag ang mga election hotspots dahil kinukumpleto pa ang mga listahan bago ito isapubliko. “We have initial list, the three categories we have the number already especially in the areas where there is a very strong partisan politicall rivalry,” ani Marquez. Kaugnay nito, patuloy na pinaplantsa ang pagpapatupad ng seguridad sa eleksyon kabilang ang implementasyon ng gun ban. “We would like to make sure that instruments of violence are kept from people who would like to sow fear or would like to mar the electoral process,” dagdag pa ng PNP chief.
