Anak ni Gov. Singson nalo sa special election

VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur, Philippines — Iprinoklama kahapon ng madaling-araw ng Commission on Elections si Ryan Singson, anak ni Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson na panalo sa special elections ng congressional race sa Ilocos Sur 1st district.  

Si Vigan Vice Mayor Ryan Singson na nakababatang kapatid ni ex-Rep. Ronald Singson, na nagbitiw dahil sa kasong bawal na droga at nahatulan ng 18-buwang pagkabilanggo sa Hongkong ay opisyal nang naiproklama ni Atty. Marino Salas, supervisor ng provincial Comelec matapos makumpleto ang canvassing.

Ginanap ang  special elections noong Sabado upang magkaroon ng kapalit si ex-Rep. Ronald Singson.

Base sa record ng Co­melec, kumain ng alikabok ang kalaban ni Ryan sa lahat ng bayan at sa Vigan City.

“In fact, Ryan won in all the towns and the City of Vigan, it is a landslide,” pahayag ni Atty. Salas.

Nakakuha ng 71,955 boto si Ryan laban kay Atty. Berthrand Baterina na nakakuha lamang ng 30,445 boto na may diperensiya na 41, 510 boto. Maging sa sariling barangay ni Baterina sa Pussuak, Sto. Domingo ay  tinalo siya ni Ryan.

Noong May, 2010 elections ay natalo rin si Baterina kay Ronald.
